Over the past three years I’ve participated in a number of research projects with a few different authors and I must say that this novel represents a really exciting opportunity for me. The major themes in this novel are two-fold: 1) The relationship between the moralizing style of the author and the qualities of the person concerned; 2) Moralization is the anchor of an understanding of identity and a caring relation between individuals and a responsible life. The first aspect of the novel does seem quite relevant to both the author and the person. The moralizing style is a question of identity and belongingness, something within the case of many aspects of life. Rather than a challenge that must be answered or a challenge that may never be answered, the topic of morality is under discussion. While the book lacks a clear idea of personal life, it is an integral part of the storyline that leads me to think about it. In particular, what I’m particularly looking forward to seeing is the relationship between a moral leader and a person: the person that decides to be moral is the one ultimately responsible of the moral.
