Thus, the absence of such a defense, in my thinking, underscores the fundamental deficiency of a view-based view-based analysis, especially when one encounters Vygotsky’s focus upon his own work. Still, I think this is true for Vygotsky’s work, and even for the authors themselves; as Scott Feldman has pointed out when he conducted a book on Vygotsky in the 1950s-51, there is some reason for believing that his views have strong implications for our understanding of Vygotsky.
